Note from the webmaster: We update this web site at least once a week during our summer concert season. Since the program for each Sunday concert is finalized at our rehearsal on Monday evening, we generally post the week's update sometime on Tuesday. Unfortunately, if you are viewing this page on a summer Monday, what follows will undoubtedly be the information for YESTERDAY'S concert.
Adam always picks interesting music and this concert's selections are no exception. Adam's "theme" for the concert is "Interesting pairings" - he's chosen pairs of pieces that are connected in interesting and sometimes unexpected ways. His selections will include Jupiter by Jan Van der Roost; Through the Storm by Jarod Hall; After the Storm by Jonathan McBride; The Midwest Old Threshers March by Jim DePriest; The Country Club Stomp by Jarod Hall; Fragile, by Randall D. Stonebridge, Blue Sky Horizon by Randall D. Stonebridge; Selections from Chicago by John Kander, arranged by Ted Ricketts, including All That Jazz, Cell Block Tango, Roxie, and We Both Reached for the Gun; Pop and Rock Legends: Chicago arranged by John Wasson including Make Me Smile, Saturday in the Park, Does Anybody Really Know What Time it Is?, and 25 or 6 to 4; and the band's traditional closing selection, The Stars and Stripes Forever by John Philip Sousa.
Please note: Since Madison Avenue is being repaved, audience members are advised to take Summer Street to Parkway to get to Crapo Park. In case of rain, the concert will move to the James Madison auditorium at 2132 Madison Avenue.
