Note from the webmaster:  We update this web site at least once a week during our summer concert season.  Since the program for each Sunday concert is finalized at our rehearsal on Monday evening, we generally post the week's update sometime on Tuesday.  Unfortunately, if you are viewing this page on a summer Monday, what follows will undoubtedly be the information for YESTERDAY'S concert.

Smith; French Horn Frappé, a horn quartet by David Bennett that features our horn section, Samantha Anderson, Marcia Dickman, Lindsey Ruberg, and Libby Snipes; October by Eric Whitacre; selections from My Fair Lady by Frederick Loewe arranged by Robert Russell Bennett including With a Little Bit of Luck, I Could Have Danced All Night, Wouldn’t It Be Loverly, I’m Getting Married in the Morning, and I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face; Funiculi Funicula by Luigi Denza arranged by Alfred Reed; Satin Doll by Duke Ellington arranged by Eric Osterling; March of the Belgian Paratroopers by Pierre Leemans arranged by Charles A. Our conductor for the July 21st concert will be New London’s Junior/Senior High School band director Arnie Anderson, a thirty year veteran of the band.  Arnie plays the tuba and, besides his membership in the band, performs with the South Hill Brass.  Arnie has chosen an interesting theme for his concert, “Music that’s on my daughter’s iPod.”  It will undoubtedly be evident to our audience that Arnie’s daughter Samantha (who, as a talented high school student, plays horn in the band) has a more sophisticated taste in music than most individuals in her age group!
