2016 Summer Schedule
The precise details of our summer concert schedules are always highly tentative, and remain so at all times, due especially to the weather.  Much of our equipment, including our printed music, cannot necessarily survive exposure to rain, so occasionally concerts must be canceled or even stopped "in progress".  And, if a concert is canceled, we sometimes arrange to perform that same concert later in the season.
May 22 – This year, the band’s season will begin with Jim Priebe conducting the Season Kickoff Concert at the Capitol Theater, with guests Bel Canto Chorale.

May 30 – The annual morning Memorial Day ceremonies at James Madison School, sponsored by the American Legion and the Veteran’s Council.

All other concerts at the Crapo Park Band Shell:

June 5 –  Carmen Lachnitt conducts the Teddy Bear’s Picnic concert.

June 12 –  Mark Eveleth conducts.

June 19 –  Arnie Anderson conducts.

June 26 –  Ron Coberley conducts a 3 PM concert in Keokuk, Iowa, at the Rand Park Pavilion (or the Grand Theater in the case of inclement weather), followed by our usual evening concert at Crapo Park.

July 3 –  Mike Lachnitt conducts.

July 10 –  Ted Francis conducts our portion of a joint appearance of the Burlington Municipal Band and the Nauvoo Pageant Bagpipe Band of Nauvoo, Illinois.

July 17 – Mark Taylor conducts.

July 24 –  Marcia Korb and Janel Harms conduct.

July 31 –  Derrick Murphy conducts, tentatively preceded by a performance of a jazz band made up of members of our band.

August 7 – Our annual “Round Robin” concert and/or a previously rained out concert.
