Next week's conductor will be

This week's conductor will be Adam Creager. Adam is the band director at Mt. Pleasant Junior High School and plays saxophone (usually the baritone saxophone) in the band. Adam is an active musician and performs with a variety of ensembles besides our band including the Burlington Area Saxophone Quartet, The Southeast Iowa Band, and the Mt. Pleasant Jazz Quintet, and he plays piano with the Bullis-Rutter Big Band.

Adam tells us that he has struggled to find a "theme" for this concert's musical selections so we'll help him out. We think his theme should be "Great pieces!"
Adam's selections will include: Skydive by Chris M. Bernotas; The Liberty Bell March by John Philip Sousa; Highlights from BRAVE from the Disney/Pixar film BRAVE arranged by Sean O'Loughlin including Noble Maiden Fair, Touch the Sky, Fate and Destiny, The Games, and Merida's Home; Ross Roy Overture for Band by Jacob de Haan; A Sky Full of Stars by Guy Berryman, Jon Buckland, Will Champion, Chris Martin, and Tim Bergling, arranged by Matt Conaway; Redemption by Rossano Galante; Waltzing Matilda by Marie Cowan [lyrics by "Banjo" Paterson] arranged by Warren Barker; The Beach Boys Greatest Hits arranged by Michael Brown including I Get Around, California Girls, Surfer Girl, Wouldn't It Be Nice, and Good Vibrations; and our traditional closing march, The Stars and Stripes Forever by John Philip Sousa.
